After the seminar, the attendants will be able to:
- Explain the worldwide public policy interest in wellbeing, the performance of public places and how this impacts upon the work of Architects
- Identify characteristics of socially inclusive design led engagement processes and their implications for sustaining social connection and effective public outcomes
- Explain a range of ways in which design process engages public involvement across the spectrum from consultation to co-creation and the differences between them
- Implement ideas and practices which expand the depth of client/architect/community interaction and greater scopes of work and client offerings
- Identify the practice issues that need to change to achieve optimized socially sustainable outcomes
- Understand socially inclusive design issues and select from a range of ways that a design process can ensure social inclusion is attained
